UN REVE FOU (I HAVE A DREAM) ...

Oui, j'avoue, j'ai rêvé d'un grand tournoi à Paris, six GMI (5 hommes et une femme), réunis chaque année pour nous faire plaisir. Cinq rondes en parties classiques, format championnat du monde... de vrais matches, avec de vrais prix mais aussi un prix de beauté conséquent qui donnerait envie aux joueurs d'attaquer! Le prix serait décerné par... disons Emil Sutovski, Bachir Kouatli et Laurent Fressinet!    

Pas de tie-break qui se terminerait à minuit dans une salle vide. Tout se jouerait au Sonneborn-Berger. Clair pour tout le monde. Des matches à 13h, avec du public autours, au coeur du Louvres. Des commentaires en Anglais (the talk machine Svidler?) et en Français (Eric Prié et Marc Quenehen!) , avec une visibilité au 20h (ronde 1 et ronde 5) et un suivi sur l'Equipe 21.

Et puis également un tournoi open dans Paris, système suisse en 9 rondes, le vainqueur qualifié pour le tournoi du Louvres l'année suivante. Les matches commenceraient le matin, finiraient assez tôt, avant 13h (format classique mais moins long) et tous ces joueurs iraient voir les Grands jouer ! Salle pleine et enthousiaste garantie !

Yes, I admit, I dreamed of a big tournament in Paris, 6 GMI (5 men and 1 woman), meeting every year to please us. Five rounds in ring games, world championship formats ... real games with real prizes but also a substantial prize of beauty that would urge players to attack! The price would be awarded by, well... Emil Sutovski , Bachir Quwatli and Laurent Fressinet!

No tie-break that would end at midnight in an empty room. Everything Sonneborn-Berger would play. So clear. Round at 13, with public goshawks, in the heart of Louvres. English Comments (the talk-machine Svidler and Judith Polgar?) And French.

And also an open tournament in Paris, Swiss system in nine rounds, the winner qualified for the Louvres tournament next year. The rounds start in the morning, would end early, before 13 (classic format but less long) and all the players would go see the Greats Players! Room full and enthusiastic guaranteed!
